At Hillberry Farm Grant Cares for a small number of Alpacas, whose fleeces can be used to produce a very soft wool.
This can be knitted into items of clothing / knitwear and sold to raise money for the animals at
Hillberry Farm.
Grant is very excited a the prospect of using the Alpaca fleece and has made contact with a mill which uses machines to spin the fleeces in to yarn.

They will be taking Julias and Coffees fleeces ,we hope to get lots of balls of wool.
Grant has also made contact with a lady who hands spins in the old fashioned method using a spinning wheel,
Pat Myers will be spinning Marcos fleece ,which is a lovely silvery grey colour
Pat who lives in Aldbrough nr Hull, also cares for unwanted animals inc
Chinchillas Ginepigs and Rabbits and two sheep. www.bobtails.biz

Julie Runs a small company called Mr Darceys Cottage in Daventry Northants
She designs and hand knits all her own Accessories,
Juile has lots of ideas for turning the alpaca wool into wonderful hand made Accessories for Hillberry Farm.
We are both very excited about future projects.
Using the incredibly soft,baby alpaca fleece from the Hillberry Alpacas, Mr Darcey creates one off designs, enhanced and embellished with luxurious fancy yarns and beautiful buttons and beads.
This original design hand knitted by Julie Ferguson
using hand spun alpaca wool, from the fleece of Marco,
Silver grey baby alpaca yarn knitted in a loose Lacey pattern,
with a range of soft pearly shell colours.
You can wear this Alpaca shrug loose or pinned together
with the marcasite and jet black brooch.
